did you know there’s a new moon coming on may 27? to be fair, we didn’t either – until we tapped into the witchy side of RADAR, who let it be known that this is divine timing. and so, you’ll want to grab your calendar.

first, as promised, event with friends is back 🫂
if you’ve been with us for a minute, you know that we love exploring the weird and wonderful, venturing into the goo, and embracing multiple ways of knowing. our first Event with Friends of 2025 is part of that tradition, spurred on by a confluence of spiritual futures vibes on LinkedIn of all places.
in this open-to-the-public cosmic-meets-futures exploration, RADAR members Sarah Owen and Kim Townend will join us for a chat about mystical frameworks as sensing infrastructure and how astrological patterns can enhance our collective imagination. then, using Pluto's transit through Aquarius (2024-2044) as a starting point, we'll move into collective imagination, RADAR worldboarding style, to imagine what emerges beyond — after significant transformations in technology, community, and consciousness have completed their cycle.
we’re so pleased to make space for the collective exploration of frameworks many already use privately — and to be a home for people like Sarah and Kim to embrace this side of their work and experiment with a bunch of open-hearted yearners who know that if we’ve only got one kind of official, vetted, patriarchy-approved boat to cross the gap it’s not gonna happen.
over 90 minutes together, you can expect a blend of conversation and collective imagination exploring questions like:
🌀What can cosmic patterns reveal that conventional futures miss?
🌀 Can different knowledge systems unlock stuck futures?
🌀 How might planetary patterns spark new openings for collective imagination?
🌀 Could astrology offer us an accessible way to look back so we can look forward?
🌀 What world awaits beyond 2044?
the event is welcome to both the astrologically fluent and the cosmically curious (tbh, this is most of us). no expertise required — just an openness to multiple ways of seeing.
more new moon magic 🪄
earlier in the day, Kim and Sarah (along with her Astrofutures’ partner Rose Theodora) will be live with NextAtlas to chat about Kim’s latest deep dive into the social sphere exploring the shift we’ve been seeing from all things witchy as mystical, unknowable arts to ➡️ the same tools being used as an increasingly mainstream framework for growth and accountability.
already a member of RADAR? Sarah’s got just a little more lunar energy to give as she kicks off her role as our spin-off agency’s head of research and gives us all a sneak peek, alongside Alex (head of partnerships) into what’s coming, what it means for the community, and how you can get involved in ways both big and small. this one’s community only (we’ll be live on discord), but if your interest is piqued, you still have time to apply before the event.
one last, strange reminder 🌀
may kicked off our second yearning lab of the year — exploring all things strange & small that have a funny way of working through the cracks in the fabric. next week, may 21, community members are invited to join us for our next possibility hour where we’ll dig into the concept of social furniture, look for the vulnerabilities in what’s broadly-but-problematically accepted, and question the idea of normalization as an end goal in itself.
because wandering in the liminal space is the only way we’ll find new ways to the other side. come play!
someone give me an astrological excuse for why i forgot to include our event link? [reserve your spot here: https://lu.ma/hdj5a4ln]
Very curious why you decided to stop using capital letters?
